I'm real disappointed, that Andy Griffith used that foul language 😕 But, we all know that movie's are the real ones. It's a good movie, just not on the up and up with the script. Great job from Johnny Cash and Andy Griffith. I hope this wasn't a true story?

Good movie 👍, but basically just a slightly reworked bit of 1939's Frontier Marshal and 1946's My Darling Clementine. The names were changed, except for the saloons!

They would have smelled the accelerànt wouldn't they? Surely they couldn't have gotten rid of all of the acellerant or alcohol when they shoveled away.

This is a ripoff of "My Darling Clementine". (1946). Story theft and bad acting!

Two men, no matter how strong, could carry a dead body strung to a pole very far. Much less through the forest. I hope this is not a spoiler, because the movie is pretty good otherwise. Seeing Andy Griffith and Johnny Cash in non-traditional roles is a treat.

Strange to see Andy Griffith as the villain lol. Even stranger to see him at that age wearing something other than a gray suit and driving something other than a gray Grand Marquis

Both andy and Johnny gave great performances, and i gotten say for a TV movie, the period look of Georgia in the late 1940s was incredible, everything was spot on. Many feature films many times don't get it right, just use old clothes and change hair style. But not the atmosphere. Also, see Andy in another great t v movie, Savages , again, great bad guy. , made around 1974.
